Hi, I’m Cleo Davis, a British senior copywriter and brand storyteller fluent in fashion, culture, and making words work harder than they should. Over the past decade I’ve helped steer the stories that matter: giving Burberry’s trench coat its first official narrative, guiding Calvin Klein’s content strategy across Europe, and dreaming up social-first campaigns for the likes of Artipoppe, Hunkemöller and Dentsu. My background is in magazines, writing for Esquire, Refinery29 and The Club (British Airways).

Lately, I've been crafting editorial tone-of-voice and content strategies across global campaigns—think punchy social hooks, e-commerce copy, multimedia storytelling, and long-form brand tools. I know how to lead content that feels culturally current and creatively confident.

As senior copywriter, I worked on the messaging and copy, featuring for a multi-channel layout including E-comm, CRM, social, out-of-home billboards and in-store POS.

I concepted and wrote the following script for ShyGirl to perform, as well as directed the voice-over recording for Spotify.

“It’s… a state of mind. A party.

Weakness. Fun.

You. Us.

Me. Everyone.

Outtakes from the mini-series CK Unfiltered for Calvin Klein, created for YouTube in collaboration with Google. Series one ‘bra talk’ was about finding your perfect bra, and series two ‘denim’ was how-to styling videos. For both, I wrote and directed the scripts on set.

Script writing is one of my favourite tasks. Maybe because I like talking, but probably because I love working with people and bringing out their beautiful personalities. Check out the unique personalities in these two short films.

I led the storytelling project for the relaunch of the Burberry website, featuring the tale of the trench coat. This involved a train trip to Castleford, Yorkshire, and lots of tea.

At Burberry my role involved naming key runway products. I called this rather roomy tote ‘The Giant’ because I was able to fit in it - seen here.
